What Warren County Needs in a Supervisor
Warren County is at a critical moment. When our county leadership stops asking tough questions, outside interests move in, and taxpayers get left with the bill.
I believe every decision made by the Board of Supervisors should pass a simple, fundamental test: Does it serve We the People, and does it protect our Constitutional rights to live freely, work our land, and pursue our happiness without government overreach? If a policy doesn't fit those pillars, it doesn't get my vote.
My Core Commitments to You
1. Protecting Family Farms & Property Rights
(The Pursuit of Happiness) Your land and your home are the bedrock of your family's future. The freedom to build a life and a livelihood on your own property is central to the pursuit of happiness.
2. Fiscal Responsibility & Lower Taxes
(Serving "We the People," Not Special Interests) County government exists to serve the public good, not to pick winners and losers with your tax dollars.
3. Un-compromised Independence & Accountability
(Constitutional Governance) The Constitution was built on checks and balances. When one group holds every seat without question, transparency suffers.
A Message from Alfonso Valenzuela-Gumucio
"Years ago, my husband and I made the decision to step away from our routine and move to Iowa for the most important reason there is: to care for our aging parents in their final years. After their passing, we chose to make Warren County our permanent home. We fell in love with the land, the quiet rhythm of rural life, and the neighbors who welcomed us.
I’m not a career politician. I’m a family farmer with dirt on my boots and skin in the game, working alongside you as a real estate professional. I understand property contracts, I understand land stewardship, and I know the value of a hard-earned dollar.
I am running for Supervisor because our rural communities deserve an Independent voice—a neighbor who respects the Constitution, stands up for 'We the People,' protects our farm ground, and holds county government accountable to you.
If you want a watchdog at Board of supervisors who will put people over politics, I would be honored to earn your vote."
